| Assignment 19: For this assignment we had to create a stationary package for a company. For the candy shop, I chose a bright blue and orange color. First we created the logo, which we used on all of the items. Then we created the business card, letterhead, and envelope. |
Assignment 15: For this assignment we had to create an illuminated manuscript
using Photoshop brushes. We first made the paper texture using a grunge brush.
Then I made the border using a variety of brushes. I went for a winter theme
with a lot of dark colors and snowflakes because the chose the song Back to
December by Taylor Swift. In a separate document I created the initial cap then
placed it in my Indesign file.
Assignment 14: For this assignment we had to create a poster explaining and describing
a career that we chose from the graphic design field. I had web design. I worked in
Photoshop then packaged in Indesign. I used rule of thirds, the Z pattern, and emphasis.
 Assignment 13: For this assignment we got into groups of three and made an exquisite corpse. We were all in charge of making different parts of the body. I made the clown legs, using a clipping mask.  assignment 10 and arrange them in alphabetical order. We had to arrange them so they filled up the whole page, which was difficult. My favorite letter is the A because it was the first letter that I found.  |
| Assignment 9: For this assignment we had to create patterns using letters. This is typography because we are using different types of fonts to create art. My favorite design is the Pe7 pattern because it was fun to make. |

| Assignment 11: For this assignment we had to take a picture that described a song or poem of our choice. I took a picture of the woods in my backyard because it reminded me of the poem. We worked in Photoshop and blended the picture with the text and background. |

| Assignment 16: For this assignment we had to create a visual communications timeline. It explains the history of graphic design from cave paintings to computers. I designed a hand holding a wallet with "pictures" falling from it. However, instead of pictures I put the main category for the timeline. The main facts are connected with a dotted line. I liked this assignment because we could do whatever we wanted with it. |

| Assignment 17: For this assignment we has to create a logo for a fake company. I chose to do Pear Inc. I incorperated the pear into the A of the second logo. We were allowed to use two pantone colors for each logo, so for the first logo, I used white to outline the knife and fork. I liked this assignment because I like making logos. |

| Assignment 18: For this assignment we had to make a logo using only text. I did two logos for each company. In this type of logotype, it is important to choose the correct font inorder to display the company correctly. My favorite logo is the first Mimi' s Flower Shop one. |

| Assignment 20: For this assignment we had to choose a social issue and create poster about it. I chose politics and made a poster for one of the candidates for the 2012 election. I used a red, white, and blue color scheme because it is patriotic. We had to create a logo, picture, and word. |

| Assignment 7: For this assignment we had to blend a picture of ourselves with a group of famous people. I chose to use a scene from my favorite movie The Blind Side. I used the masks to blend myself into the picture. |

| Assignment 8: We had to create an image using words and letters from a word that describes the picture we chose. I used the word tiger to make up the image. I thought this assignment was fun because we got to create actual pictures out of type. |
For the icons assignment #1, we had to create icons using only shapes and lines. Icons are used to convey a message without using text. It is important that your image can apply to everyone even with language barriers. I liked doing this assignment because it forced you to think creatively and figure out ways to use shapes to make an image. My favorite icon is the camera with the pictures because it was the most fun to make and work with.

Assignment 2:
For this assignment we has to create nine 3x3in squares using different textures. The first row has just textures, the second row has textures with shape, and the third row has textures with value. My favorite texture is the shell one because it has a pretty pattern and it was fun to make. I liked this assignment because it helped us master the pen tool and will help us with later assignments.

Assignment 3:
For this assignment we had to create a color wheel using whatever two shapes we wanted. I chose the sun and the moon because they relate to each other well. We had to create the colors for the color wheel our selves in illustrator. My favorite part about this assignment was creating the colors and finding which colors looked best.

Assignment 4:
For this assignment, we had to create four pop art images of ourselves. We mimicked the style of Andy Warhol. We had to use different color schemes for each picture. My favorite picture of the four is the bottom right because I like the color scheme the best. |
For this assignment we had to create one large picture with many smaller pictures.
First we had to go online and find little pictures and line them up on the top line. Then rearrange them throughout the whole image. This used the element of repetition. After we had the whole page covered, we used different effects to blend the images together. I liked this assignment because we could choose what pictures we wanted and how we wanted it to look.
